Advert text : The South London Legal Partnership (SLLP) is the in-house legal service for the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames and the London Boroughs of Merton, Richmond upon Thames, Sutton and Wandsworth. SLLP is a high performing in-house shared legal service serving five local authorities with a staff of 150-160 and a turnover of about £14 million.

We are looking for energetic and enthusiastic applicants, keen to develop their skills in a public sector environment. Limited local government experience is welcomed if you are determined to provide a top-class legal service.

The role focuses on senior commercial property work within a public sector land holdings context, including development, sale, lease or other matters. You will provide advice on governance and all aspects of local authority land dealings. Ideally you should have a good understanding of local authority governance.

Responsibilities

• Handle commercial property matters relating to asset and portfolio management in a public sector land holdings context (development, sale, lease, etc.).
• Provide advice on governance and all aspects of local authority land dealings.
• Supervise up to 3 lawyers and contribute to a team environment.
