Key Responsibilities in Residential Property Solicitor Role
- Independently managing a diverse portfolio of residential property transactions, including sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, and leasehold and freehold matters.
- Drafting and analysing contracts and legal documents associated with residential property transactions.
- Conducting thorough property due diligence, title checks, searches, and preparing detailed reports on findings for clients.
- Communicating effectively with clients, solicitors, estate agents, lenders, and other parties to ensure transactions progress smoothly from instruction to completion.
- Handling all post-completion procedures, including HM Land Registry applications and SDLT submissions.
- Upholding regulatory compliance and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements throughout the conveyancing process.
- Ensuring excellent client care, maintaining clear, timely and professional correspondence at all stages of the transaction.
Essential Skills and Experience for Residential Conveyancing
Qualified Solicitor (or Licensed Conveyancer or CILEX) in England & Wales, with at least three years’ PQE managing a residential conveyancing caseload independently.Up-to-date knowledge of current property law, practice, and regulatory compliance.Proven ability to handle a high-volume caseload with minimal supervision.Exceptional attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficient communicator with strong client focus and the ability to build trusted relationships.Experience with conveyancing case management systems and a confident user of Microsoft Office applications.Team player with a positive, collaborative approach and commitment to continuous professional development.Benefits and Professional Growth in Property Law
