About the role
We have a brand-new opportunity for a Senior Power Systems Engineer to join our HV team and this role can be based in any of our UK offices.
It's an exciting time to join our HV team. We have a proven track record working within the Infrastructure and Mission Critical and Data Centre sectors across the UK and Europe. Working alongside a range of specialist engineers and consultants, you will be joining a collaborative, knowledgeable, highly engaged team who love what they do, and offer a supportive, flexible, and high performing work culture.
The role will involve Power systems analysis on HV, MV and LV distribution for small and large-scale Infrastructure / Data Centre and other mission critical projects.
In this key and varied role, you can expect to :
- Be responsible for the day-to-day technical delivery and design calculations for assessing electrical loads on buildings sizing utility connections, generators, uninterruptible power supplies and renewable technologies, together with associated earthing and distribution systemsdesign services for multi-disciplinary projects across a number of building sectors.
- Produce design deliverables including specifications, drawings, and schedules. Including Design and calculations of substations and points of connections from LV to HV. You will also undertake Load flow, fault level, G5 / 5 harmonic and protection studies.
- You will work on Earth rise touch and potential studies
- Interact regularly with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring a communicative, collaborative and timely approach to delivery.
- Support timely invoicing, debt chasing, management of WIP and forward workload / resource planning for your own projects.
- Mentor and support our ‘next gen’ professionals including apprentices and graduates.
