Your new school
You will be working for Hays as bank staff where you will be placed in various settings, including primary and secondary schools. You will be working with children 4 to 16 years old, which can be tailored to your preferences. You will be able to work in your desired location in Brighton and Hove and work around your ownmitments. When the schools are open, we will help support you with as much or as little work as you need.
Your new role
As a teaching assistant, you will be expected to support settings, working where required; supporting the pupils with their learning, helping set up and tidy the rooms, working with the children and ensuring the environment is safe at all times. You won't be expected toplete any learning diaries, so this is a great opportunity to gain confidence and learn new skills. The role as a temporary teaching assistant means you haveplete flexibility over the days you would like to work week by week.
What you'll need to succeed
We are ideally looking for Level 2 or Level 3 qualified teaching assistants. However, we are open to unqualified candidates that have recent relevant experience that can be referenced. You will need to be reliable, adaptable and enthusiastic; the schools that you are placed in will expect you to be hands-on and willing to help out in the setting. Roles can include a variety of working in a classroom with children alongside working one-to-one with a specific pupil supporting their development. If you have any experience working with SEN children, this is advantageous.
