Assistant Residential Manager

UCS College Group Residential provision provides accommodation for students aged 16+ studying across any of our colleges. The Groups primary student accommodation is based at the Cannington College and consists of 209 beds.

We also have offsite accommodation through our houses of multiple occupancy provision in Bridgwater. Another facet of the provision is student flats close to our Taunton college which provide accommodation to our HE learners studying at the University Centre Somerset. The residential provision was awarded Ofsted Outstanding following inspection in 2022.

The primary purpose of this role is to organise our Residential provision to maximise occupancy, income and monitor outgoing expenditure. In addition, the successful candidate will oversee and manage administrative systems related to accommodation including organising the rota to ensure adequate staffing.

You will be a strong team player and have a passion for working with young people, keeping safeguarding and student wellbeing as the top priority.

In this post you will liaise with wider teams within the College Group to ensure an Ofsted Outstanding student experience. You will be flexible and able to work independently when required, using your initiative to problem solve in this expanding provision.

You will have line management responsibility for the Residential Administration Team and Accommodation Officer (Block Release). The position is located within the Residential Team at the Cannington College however travel to other sites will be required.
