Right Now Group are recruiting for a Cargo Office Team Leader to join one of the UK's leading cargo ground handlers at Heathrow Airport.

Key Responsibilities of the Cargo Office Team Leader :

Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of cargo agents, ensuring productivity and professional development.

Oversee import / export operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with airline, customs, and CAA regulations.

Coordinate with internal teams, GSAs, airlines, and freight agents to maintain smooth operations.

Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety and Security procedures.

Monitor operational processes, identify improvements, and implement corrective actions.

Act as a communication link between clerks and management, relaying key updates.

Maintain a clean and efficient work environment, setting a professional example.

Support new process implementation and participate in training initiatives.

Handle customer inquiries promptly, maintaining high service standards.

Skills & Experience Required for the Cargo Office Team Leader :

Strong knowledge of airline and cargo operational requirements (import / export).

Hands-on experience with ABS or similar cargo handling systems.

Knowledge of Dangerous Goods (certification preferred or willingness to train).

Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Positive, adaptable attitude with strong focus on compliance and safety.

Proven ability to coach, train, and motivate team members.

What's On Offer for the Cargo Office Team Leader :

Salary : £34,000 - £35,500 per annum

Shift Pattern : 4 on 4 off (2 days, 2 nights)

Hours : 07 : 00 - 19 : 00 & 19 : 00 - 07 : 00

Flexibility to provide holiday cover when required
