The Role
We're looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer / QC Inspector to support our Production, Engineering, and Quality departments. The role is varied, offering plenty of hands-on tasks while also playing a vital role in inspection and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities :
Maintain and repair assembly jigs and small tools
Manufacture and adapt simple tooling for production
Carry out small batch modifications using lathes, drills, milling machines, and hand tools
Prototype new parts for testing and evaluation
Support the QA department with timely and accurate inspection of sub-assemblies and incoming goods
Record inspection results and complete non-conformance reports when required
Provide feedback to the Quality Manager to support continuous improvement
Operate at all times to company's quality and health & safety standards

The Ideal Candidate
We're looking for a practical engineer with a strong mechanical background and a proactive, adaptable approach. You'll be someone who takes pride in accuracy and can balance both production and quality tasks. About you :
Due to the location of this role, applicants must have a valid driving licence and access to their own vehicle
Able to interpret technical drawings
Previous hands-on experience in machining, toolmaking, or precision engineering
Skilled in the use of lathes, drills, mills, and other workshop tools
Familiar with mechanical and optical measuring equipment
High attention to detail and accuracy
Flexible, adaptable, and keen to learn new skills
Basic IT skills
