About the Roles

We are currently working with two fantastic schools in Southwark, both rated Good by Ofsted, who are seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to join their teams :

1️⃣ Secondary School – Literacy Specialist

The school is seeking a Teaching Assistant with strong Literacy teaching experience.

Candidates trained in the Lexonik Phonic Recovery programme are highly desirable.

You will support literacy interventions, small-group work, and 1 : 1 support to raise attainment.

2️⃣ Primary School – Part-Time TA

The school is looking for a Teaching Assistant to work Monday to Wednesday.

You will support pupils across the classroom with learning, behaviour, and social development.

A great opportunity for someone looking for part-time, consistent work in a supportive school.

Responsibilities :

Provide tailored support to students (1 : 1 and small groups).

Deliver or assist with literacy interventions (secondary role).

Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons.

Help pupils to regulate behaviour and stay focused on learning.

Ensure safeguarding and welfare standards are maintained.

Requirements :

Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant (primary or secondary).

Strong Literacy teaching experience (secondary role).

Ideally trained in the Lexonik Phonic Recovery programme (secondary role).

Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

Flexible, supportive, and enthusiastic approach to working with children.
