Support Worker - Must hold a Full UK Manual Drivers Licence - D1 Entitlement as needs to be able to drive Mini Bus

Rate: £13.03 per hour
Permanent | Full-time | 35 hours per week

About the Service – Martello Centre

Our Martello Day Centre service is based in Folkestone and is used by 60 Service users attending on a weekly basis. There is free parking for staff members.

The Day Centre has its own garden and lots of various activities. The Centre is in walking distance of the harbour and town centre, with close transport links.

The Role

You will:

Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans
Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required
Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing
Support activities, appointments, and community access
Maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a team
Work a rota including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins

Who We're Looking For

We're seeking people who are caring, patient and respectful, with a positive and resilient approach. You should be confident working independently as well as part of a team, have good communication skills, basic IT and written skills, and be flexible and reliable.

No previous experience? No problem! If you have the right attitude and passion for supporting others, we'll provide full training and a structured induction programme to help you succeed in the role.

Essential Requirements

Full UK Manual Driving Licence – mandatory.
D1 entitlement on your driving licence – essential.
A genuine desire to support people to live fulfilling and independent lives.
Willingness to undertake training and continuous professional development.
Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays where required.

Drivers desirable but not essential
