Job descriptionManage the ward / department, Team Leader, and clinical nurse specialists in assessing the clinical skills required to deliver a safe and quality service Lead on identifying deficits and implement programmes to address the issues Using their knowledge and experience to work with the matron, drive up the standards of clinical care Provide strong leadership to their teams and ensure senior clinical presence on the ward / unit You’ll manage quality improvement initiatives to drive up high quality clinical care Investigate complex incidents and identify and implement corrective action You’ll act as a change agent and innovator, promoting an effective change culture within nursing teams Work with the Matron in the financial management of the service being aware of budgets and working within them Evidence of significant clinical experience in medical area and ability to function at level required Knowledge of NMC Codes and guidelines and their implications for practice Management qualification or working towards obtaining one Experience of being involved in the implementation of change Experience managing clinical audits Experience of participating in the development, delivery, monitoring and evaluating of training programmes with clinical and non-clinical staff Payment of Professional Registration fees Equivalent to 25 days holiday per year, increasing through length of service, with option to buy or sell Health insurance as a benefit in kind An enhanced pension plan and life insurance Annual performance-based bonus Support with travel costs via a season ticket loan or cycle2work Various other benefits and online discounts Free onsite massages as recognition for your hard work Opportunity to participate in our annual awards ceremony
