Healthcare Assistant – Complex care (Adult)

Location – Sidmouth, Devon

Pay – £12.00 – £22.00 per hour.

Shift – Days and Nights – 12 Hour Shifts

Are you looking for a care job that is rewarding, that with your input, could make life changing differences and possibilities to our young lady?

If you think this is for you, our young lady is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated person, who can inspire and encourage her to succeed to regain some of the lifestyle taken from her following diagnoses and treatment of a brain tumour.

This delightful and optimistic young lady is complex due to her health which can change quickly but is mostly, successfully managed by medication and a keen eye for change in mood and character.

The brain injury sustained has resulted in her being registered blind, epileptic, short term memory impairment and health needs resulting from a non-functioning pituitary gland. All training will be given and supported by a nurse manager and the family, who understand her conditions well.

Our young lady needs someone who is honest and has her best interest at heart, who can accompany her to CEDA (day centre), David Lloyds Gym, Shopping and other social and entertaining activities and be fun to be with. Someone who will learn to guide and understand when to step in and help and when to be there just for support and reassurance. You will need to provide daily healthcare support and prompting in personnel care, along with following a bespoke care plan.
