Position Overview

This is a sales leadership role responsible for developing and leading the sales strategy and growth into one of largest hyperscale clients that are developing data center projects internationally. The postholder is a key member of the EMEA Leadership Group and will actively contribute to the formulation and execution of our wider business strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the direction, leadership, and management of all sales, business development, and marketing for one of our hyperscaler accounts.
  • Cultivation of long-term, strategic account relationships at a senior level with decision makers and other key stakeholders to develop and close commercial opportunities.
  • Lead / sponsor for bid strategy and our sales responses to match client requirements.
  • Active engagement with prospects, partners and key clients to nurture leads and develop pipeline. Develop relationships across all areas of the client; construction, leasing, operations, technical etc.
  • Drive the company’s achievement of its customer leasing goals
  • Responsible for providing Sales and Marketing strategy and account plans and providing regular updates, revisions and modifications to the strategy
  • Research and develop strategies and plans which identify marketing opportunities, direct marketing, and new project development
  • Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of sales, methods, costs, and results
  • Interact cross functionally for all parts of the business that touch the client (security, operations, client experience, construction delivery), to liaise, troubleshoot, overcome challenges and ultimately find ways to meet the balance between client needs and company needs.
  • Represent the company at various industry, community and / or business meetings to promote the company
  • Work with the executive team and other leadership to develop long term account and market penetration plans for the company
  • Act as a role model of the Vantage Way and Vantage Company Values
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of and demonstrable track record in sales leadership roles with at least 5-7 years of experience in EMEA region
  • Proven ability to negotiate multi-million dollar contracts from a business and technical perspective
  • Degree and postgraduate qualifications desirable, and / or equivalent (international) experience
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and strong and confident presentation skills
  • Highly motivated, self-starter with proven ability to effectively communicate, collaborate and gain support from cross functional and geographically diverse stakeholders (internally and externally)
  • Outstanding negotiation management and influencing skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills , with ability to create own materials that are well thought out and deliver the value message succinctly internally and externally.
  • Ability to analyze complex business problems and simplify (for the benefit of the customer and internal stakeholders)
  • Flexible, adaptable and self-directed; able to work in a variety of circumstances; e.g. : remotely, while travelling, across multiple time zones, cross functionally, by project, etc.
  • Comfortable with reporting leveraging CRM or other tools, or ad hoc as the business requires.
  • This position requires an organized individual with the capacity to handle multiple projects simultaneously, work well under pressure, and to prioritize work effort, all with minimal supervision
  • Individual contributor position, with expectations of being a leader, running a mature and focused practice with their accounts.
  • Data Center sales experience is preferred but will consider experience that overlaps the data center space. Experience selling to the largest names of the internet preferred.
  • Willing to travel extensively within the EMEA Region (& globally, as required)
