As an Adaptive consultant, you will be fully supported by the Simmons & Simmons team with a sponsoring Partner and a client team with whom we would encourage you to engage on a regular basis. Main purpose of the role :

Simmons Adaptive is currently searching for a technology and IP lawyer, to support for an assignment lasting up to 12 months. You will be working with one of our energy clients, focusing on issues associated with the use of AI technology.

This will be on a full-time basis, and will involve managing legal and regulatory issues associated with AI, technology and IP matters. This is a hybrid working arrangement with 3 days per week in the office.

Person specification

• You are a qualified lawyer with commercial experience across a range of matters, ideally including technology and IP.
• You will ideally have some experience in advising on AI-related risks.
• You will ideally be working in-house however those from a private practice background will be considered.
• You will ideally have experience working in the energy sector.
• You have excellent interpersonal skills and able to communicate complex analysis in a clear and concise manner.
• You can work autonomously but can also collaborate effectively as part of the wider team.
• You are a self-motivated team player, with a desire to develop strong relationships and excellent time management skills.
• You will be required to hold the relevant right to work for the UK, visa sponsorship is not available via Adaptive.
