About Us

Red Kite School is a brand-new, purpose-built independent SEN school, designed to support up to 60 pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Set in the beautiful market town of Princes Risborough, it’s a truly exciting time to join us as a founding member of staff and help shape a nurturing, inclusive learning environment from the ground up.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work directly with our brilliant pupils, helping them get the very best from their education. Every individual has potential, and you will play a key role in guiding their learning journeys.

You will help prepare learning materials and run classroom activities, gaining plenty of hands-on experience while also working under supervision. You will support pupils’ emotional and physical needs, helping them develop as individuals and engage with the world.

Supporting pupils with complex Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs is both important and rewarding work. You will benefit from the tremendous support offered by our hugely experienced teams and see the direct, positive impact your work has on pupils’ development.

Who we are looking for

We welcome candidates who :

Have GCSEs at grade C or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths

Have some experience working with SEN pupils or within a school setting

Are adaptable and ready to work in a variety of classroom roles, both indoors and outdoors, according to individual pupil needs

Take a responsive and caring approach, whether running classroom activities, leading outdoor experiences, or supervising pupils as they explore further afield

• You’ll work 80% of your contractual hours for 100% of your pay, giving you more time to do the things that make you happy. 4DWW is subject to successful completion of probation and is not a contractual benefit
