Job Title : Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant

Contract Type : Full-time - September Start

Salary : £90 per day

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, your role extends beyond academics. You'll play a crucial part in supporting children with diverse learning needs, including those with medical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Personalised Support : 1 : 1 assistance to pupils with special educational needs, adapting teaching techniques to foster their confidence and independence; collaborate with medical professionals to implement individualized care plans for children with specific medical conditions.
• Collaboration and Planning : work closely with teachers to plan and deliver activities; support pupils during transitions and daily routines, ensuring their medical needs are met.
• Emotional Well-being and Social Skills : help pupils regulate their behaviour and emotions; encourage positive interactions, both academically and socially.
• Assessment and Communication : contribute to formal SEND assessments, considering medical aspects; share valuable insights with families and home schools, fostering a holistic approach to each child\'s well-being.
• Swift Return to Education : our goal is to facilitate a swift return to long-term education settings, even for children with complex medical needs.
• Teamwork and Support : collaborate with other teaching assistants, teachers, and support staff; experience the fulfilment of making a difference in children\'s lives.
