Financial Accountant

Reports To : Head of Finance

Salary : Up to £45,000 / year

Working pattern :

Hybrid (3 days required in the office)

Robert Half is proudly working with an established professional services firm to recruit for an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Accountant.

Key Responsibilities :

Support month-end close activities, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.

Maintain strong financial controls and assist with process improvements and automation.

Collaborate with teams across actuarial, underwriting, and claims to interpret financial data.

Assist in managing insurance accounts, premium taxes, and reinsurance reporting.

Contribute to year-end audits, statutory reporting, business planning, and regulatory filings.

Participate in cross-functional projects as a representative of the finance team.

Skills & Experience :

Essential :

Part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).

Strong Excel and financial systems knowledge.

Proven reconciliation and control environment experience.

High attention to detail, strong numerical and analytical skills.

Effective communicator with strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.

Desirable :

Experience in financial services.

Understanding of data flow from operational systems to financial statements.

Experience working in small or multi-functional teams.
