Senior Electrical Designer

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Electrical Designer to strengthen our in-house technical teams. The role will primarily be to carry out design reviews on electrical designs provided by our design partners. Support our pre-construction activities such as assisting estimators with electrical design elements, PCSA reviews and assisting with managing our design partners where necessary through the design and modelling process. There will be a requirement to carry out design elements based on project and business needs. You will then continue to support project teams through design and modelling completion for all electrical systems.

This is a permanent position with further prospects for development.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have experience & qualifications in electrical design on large-scale projects in some or all of the following sectors (Commercial, Healthcare, Laboratories, Leisure, Industrial, etc.).

Experience using software packages such as Amtech, DIALux, Relux, Electrical OM etc.

Additional experience that would be beneficial is some experience in overseeing CDP packages, modelling, MV / HV, Specialist Systems etc.

The ideal team member will have in-depth technical knowledge of electrical systems and be interested in furthering that knowledge. You’ll work effectively with all levels of staff and your strong management skills will be invaluable in taking a leading role in technical meetings. You work well alone and as part of a team, can resolve issues and take a proactive approach to ensuring customer satisfaction.
