The role :
The technical manager will be responsible for providing direction and support across own label and branded products through from concept to launch ensuring compliance and efficiency throughout the process.As technical manager you will be required to conduct own label (and potentially branded) suppliers to assist in various tasks that may include due diligence, site approvals, pre-production trials etc.The technical manager will review product specifications and artwork ensuring all technical documentation are compliant with current legislation.The technical manager will be responsible for analysing test results of own brand products, they will also follow up with relevant suppliers who do not meet the requirements and ensure that they are adhering to the appropriate processes.As technical manager you will review product specifications and liaise with any necessary legal advisors or trading bodies to ensure legislative requirements are being met.The technical manager will work within a category team to support NPD and EPD and update on any technical updates that may impact the category.The technical manager will assist technical services by overseeing and striving for a continual reduction in overall customer complaints.As technical manager you will abide by the set-out health and safety accountabilities as well as attending training courses provided by line managers.Ideal candidate :
A relevant degree in food science or food technology is preferred but not mandatory.You must have experience working within a technical team in a food manufacturing, food service or food retail environment.You will need to have good communication and influencing skills to succeed in this role.Strong IT skills along with knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerpointStrong project management and organisation skills are essential for this role.You will be a passionate foodie!Benefits & details :
