Apply for this Job About the job Job Title: Field Service Garage Equipment Engineer (Routine Maintenance)Location: Field Based around Carlisle and throughout the surrounding area Salary: £, - £, per annum plus overtimeJob Type: Full Time, PermanentAbout us:Gemco UK is the largest garage equipment company in the country providing repair, maintenance, installation and sales solutions to a range of fast fit centres, dealerships, independent garages and commercial fleet operators.We aim to continue growing the business and increasing our market share by offering the most comprehensive range of products, brands, and value-added services.About the role:As a home-based Field Service Engineer covering Carlisle, Kendal and the surrounding areas, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance on a wide range of electro-mechanical garage equipment at customers' sites. This will include lifts and brake testers and previous experience of this type of equipment would be particularly useful.Description of Duties:To carry out routine maintenance on electro mechanical garage equipmentAlso; calibrations, diagnostic/repair and installation on equipment including vehicle lifts, wheel & tyre, brake testers, gas analysers and smoke testers etcCompletion and submission of accurate paperworkCompliance and adherence to laws and regulations covering Health and Safety within the workplaceEnsuring control of your van stock to meet targets for first times fixesThe continued development of required skills to complete all work to a high standardAbout you:Essential SkillsAt least one year working on relevant equipment in a similar positionTo have good working knowledge and experience of routine maintenance activities in a field service environment which should ideally include garage equipment or similarBe able to understand and follow procedures and work instructions, working to specified standards and using initiative when requiredAbility to be self motivated and to have a 'can do' attitude to deliver a high quality service to customersGood communication skills - dealing with colleagues and customers at all levelsFull clean UK driving licenceDemonstrable experience and / or relevant trade qualifications in a related electro/mechanical disciplineAble to work (paid) overtime when required, or to have occasional nights away from home (hotels and food etc provided)Package:Competitive salary - up to £, per annum (depending on relevant knowledge and experience) plus opportunities for overtime (taking possible earnings up to £,)ExpensesCompany vehicleBranded WorkwearPDA and TabletAdditional leave (with service)Health and wellbeing programmeLife AssuranceAdditional company sick pay (after probationary period)Please click the APPLY button to send your CV and Cover Letter for this role.Candidates with the experience or relevant job titles of; Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer, Garage Equipment Technician, Field Service Technician, Service Technician, Garage Engineering Technician, Field Maintenance Engineer, Field Maintenance Technician, Mechanical Engineer, Mechanical Technician, Electrical Engineer, Electrical Technician, Repair Engineer, Repair Technician, Fitter, Commercial Engineer may also be considered for this role.
