This is a full-time, permanent role, ideal for someone who thrives in a warm, creative environment and is ready to take the next step in their leadership journey. The nursery has recently been awarded Outstanding by Ofsted and is known for its engaging, child-led approach and rare large outdoor space—a real hidden gem in the heart of the city.

The Nursery

Located in a quiet part of Islington, this nursery offers a calm, welcoming atmosphere with a big focus on outdoor learning, creativity and emotional development. The team is collaborative and experienced, with a shared commitment to delivering a high-quality early years curriculum that puts children at the centre. Leadership is strong, supportive, and committed to continuous professional development.

The Role

Deputy Nursery Manager – full-time, permanent

£32,000 – £35,000 per year

Support the day-to-day running of the nursery alongside the Nursery Manager

Lead on planning, safeguarding, and staff mentoring

Build strong relationships with staff, children and families

Help deliver an exciting, child-led curriculum that meets the EYFS framework Requirements

Level 6 Early Years qualification or EYPS

Proven experience in a leadership or Deputy Manager role

Strong knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding expectations

Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
