Support Worker - Maternity Leave

THIS IS A UK BASED POSITION, TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE, IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT :

1. You have UK work experience, with at least 6 months experience working as a support worker, or in a similar position.

2. Your CV clearly shows your relevant experience and qualifications.

3. Experience with Brain Injury Support is advantageous

4. A full clean UK driver licence and access to a car that your able to use for work purposes.

NSS PLUS LTD-NeuroSupport Services are currently recruiting Support Workers and Healthcare Assistants, with a background of Brain Injury and Mental health experience, to support services users with Acquired Brain Injuries. Our service aims to support rehabilitation, and in enabling people to optimise independence and quality of life.

We are looking for Psychology Graduates, Support Workers, and Healthcare Assistants or other suitable candidates, who would be willing to support people both within their home environment, and also willing to provide support in helping our clients access the community. We are looking for candidates that are confident with working independently, and providing empirical feedback where necessary.

Hourly Rate : £12.50-£14 per hour depending on experience.

About you-Essential Experience :

• Planning support and encouragement
• Assisting Physiotherapy and Speech & Language exercises

About our client :

Our client is a 21-year old male, who has an acquired brain injury. We are seeking a part-time Support Worker to cover the maternity leave of his current support. He will require support with the following (but not limited to) the following activities :

The client has many interests and hobbies, and some support with these would be desirable. He enjoys football (both watching on TV and attending). He keeps track of all games and championships. He also enjoys musicals, and music. He loves animals, and has four dogs, a kitten, fish, and 3 chickens (so the successful candidate must be comfortable around animals). He also enjoys food, cooking, and is a keen gardener, growing flowers and vegetables in his vast garden and greenhouse.
