We specialise in international Morgan car sales, servicing, parts, and restoration for all Morgan cars, as well as other classic vehicles. Established in 1976, the business will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2026. Over the years, we have built in-depth knowledge of the marque and developed one of the largest parts stores worldwide outside of the Morgan factory itself.
Job Overview
We are looking for a full-time (5 days per week, with overtime available) technician to join our busy workshop. The role involves day-to-day vehicle servicing, accident repairs, restoration work, and fitting of upgrades.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnosis and Inspection : Inspect vehicles visually and with diagnostic tools, both mechanical and computerised, to identify mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic issues.
- Repairs and Maintenance : Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil and filter changes, fluid replacements, and repair or replacement of faulty components (brakes, exhausts, suspension, etc.).
- Customer Interaction : Advise customers on required repairs, provide time estimates, and offer guidance on vehicle care when needed.
- Record Keeping : Maintain accurate service records and update each vehicle’s history.
- Workshop Management : Keep the workshop clean and organised, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained.
- Specialist Skills : Rebuild engines, gearboxes, and axles; carry out auto-electrical work; fit accessories (e.g., stereos); and prepare vehicles for MOT inspections.
What We’re Looking For
Technical Expertise : Significant experience in the motor trade with strong knowledge across all aspects of vehicle mechanics and auto-electrics. You should be able to handle tasks ranging from replacing a steering rack gaiter to complex jobs such as engine rebuilds or fine-tuning carburettors.Problem-Solving : Excellent analytical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex faults independently.Manual Dexterity : Skilled use of hand tools, pneumatic tools, hoists, and other workshop equipment.Attention to Detail : Meticulous approach to inspections, repairs, and record-keeping – our customers’ cars are their pride and joy, and we treat them with the utmost care.Communication : Ability to clearly explain technical issues and repair needs to both customers and colleagues.Time Management : Capable of efficiently managing workloads to complete repairs within agreed timelines.Driving Licence : A full, clean UK driving licence is essential.If this sounds like the right role for you, click Apply and submit your CV and cover letter to join our team.
