Year 6 Teacher

Overview

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, skilled and committed Year 6 Teacher to join a vibrant and nurturing school community. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a vital role in preparing pupils for the transition to secondary school and supporting them through their final year of primary education. Beginning ASAP.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all learners.

Provide excellent teaching of English and Maths to ensure pupils are well-prepared for end-of-Key-Stage 2 assessments (SATs).

Use effective assessment strategies to track progress and inform next steps.

Establish a positive, inclusive and safe classroom environment.

Build strong relationships with pupils, parents / carers and staff.

Contribute to the wider life of the school, including enrichment opportunities and trips.

Qualifications

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.

Recent or relevant experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6.

A strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and SATs preparation.

High expectations for pupil progress and behaviour.

A reflective practitioner committed to continuous professional development.

Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills as a Year 6 Teacher.
