Operations Assistant - Facilities

We are looking for an Operations Assistant – Facilities to assist the Operations department in taking responsibility for the Operations, Maintenance, Facilities, Health & Safety, Security, and Resourcing of the Whitechapel Gallery and its many functions.

Conditions of work :

• This is a full-time, permanent position. Working hours are flexible and will vary in line with operational needs, including workload demands and keyholding responsibilities. As part of the keyholding rota, the postholder will be required to work early mornings or late evening as necessary.
• Salary : £26,337.50 per annum
• Hours of Work : Due to the nature of the role, the post holder will be required to work occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekends, including shifts such as 07 : 30–15 : 45 and 11 : 15–19 : 30. Reasonable notice will be provided in advance.
• Notice period : 2 months in writing on either side
• Probation period : 6 months
