Instructor / Learning Mentor

Overview

A wonderful opportunity for an Instructor or Learning Mentor at Newton Wood Barn Alternative Provision, located on the Rotherfield Park Estate. This role is more than a job; it is for those seeking to make a difference in the lives of young people. Ideally you will have worked with children before and be able to demonstrate strong relationship-building skills. You will be a positive role model, set clear boundaries, be patient and proactive. Requirements

• have a teaching or coaching qualification or equivalent experience facilitating learning
• have evidence of continuous professional development and commitment to further professional development
• be a confident individual with excellent communication skills, a sense of fun and resilience
• committed to child protection and promoting the welfare of young people
• will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure check (DBS) under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974
