Hutcheon Mearns are delighted to be supporting our oil service client in the search for a Temporary Finance Consultant to play a pivotal role in an AP Ledger project. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a global business and make a tangible impact. The contract is expected to run for an initial period of six months.

The Opportunity

The Finance Consultant will take ownership of a project to resolve debit balances across the Accounts Payable (AP) ledger, spanning multiple entities worldwide. This role will suit a proactive finance professional who enjoys problem solving, process improvement, and delivering results. Key responsibilities include :

• Leading the reconciliation of AP ledgers and resolving debit balances
• Partnering with colleagues across departments and international regions to identify and address root causes
• Driving a structured project plan with clear milestones and deliverables
• Implementing robust, auditable processes to enhance financial control going forward
• Providing regular progress updates and adding real value to the finance function
