Job Details
Salary : £36,000-£40,000 pro-rata (depending on experience)
Contract Duration : Initially 2 years with the intention to extend depending on funding
Hours : 4 or 4.5 days a week (based on a 35-hour week), with occasional weekends and evenings. The SLBI utilises a time off in lieu policy.
Benefits : 33 days holiday allowance including bank holidays (pro-rata), an annual restricted closure period, 5% employer pension contribution, and free attendance at SLBI events and workshops.
Location
The official workplace is at the South London Botanical Institute in Tulse Hill, London. There are also occasional in-person meetings and workshops off-site in London. Flexible working is supported with scope to work from home approximately 1-1.5 days per week.
Overview
We are looking for a dynamic, creative, collaborative and well-organised individual with a commitment to plants, people, and participation to join us as our Programmes Manager. You will provide high-quality leadership across our public learning activities, membership, and volunteer programmes at a unique centre for urban botany.
About the Role
The Programmes Manager will be responsible for developing and coordinating various aspects of SLBI’s volunteer and membership programmes, public programming, and community projects. This role includes :
