Working for a leading manufacturing business, responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, overseeing daily accounting operations, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The role also includes supervising one Accounts Assistant to streamline financial processes and reporting. My client are happy to take someone qualified by experience, with a passion to pursue further training (funding provided)
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee daily financial operations including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Monitor company’s financial performance and prepare budgets, forecasts, and short-term cash flow forecast statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
- Coordinate with external auditors during financial audits and ensure accurate documentation.
- Supervise and support the Accounts Assistant in daily tasks and financial record-keeping.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger entries and financial data.
- Analyse financial trends and provide strategic recommendations to management.
- Prepare and file statutory tax returns, including VAT and Plastic Packaging Tax, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and submission deadlines
- Liaise with vendors, customers, and banks as needed for financial matters.
- Assist in cost analysis, pricing strategies, and financial planning to support business decisions.
Requirements :
Qualified or Part qualified (ACCA, ACA or CIMA), or qualified by experience and willing to study further (Study support provided)Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax compliance.Proficiency in accounting software Sage (or a similar accounting package) and Microsoft Excel.Experience managing or supervising junior finance staff is an asset.Preferable but not mandatory, knowledge of e-commerce industry.Benefits :
