Plant Machine Wash Operative Taskmaster Resources Ltd are currently looking to recruit a
Plant Machine Wash Operative
to join the expanding team of our client based in Rushden NN10.
Main duties and responsibilities: ·
Cleaning industrial machinery: Wash and clean recycling plant machinery, conveyors, sorting equipment, containers and other industrial equipment. ·
Operating washing equipment: Use pressure washers, industrial hoses, cleaning machines and other washing equipment safely. ·
Removing waste and dirt: Remove built-up rubbish, mud, dust, grease, oil and other materials from machinery and equipment. ·
Maintaining cleanliness: Keep the plant, machinery and surrounding work areas clean, tidy and free from unnecessary waste. ·
Health and safety: Follow workplace health and safety procedures, wear the correct PPE (personal protective equipment) and follow safe working practices. ·
Reporting faults: Identify and report damaged machinery, leaks, defects or maintenance issues to supervisors. ·
Handling cleaning chemicals: Use cleaning products and chemicals correctly, following safety instructions. ·
Working as part of a team: Work alongside machine operators, maintenance staff and other recycling plant employees. ·
Waste management: Ensure waste and dirty materials removed during cleaning are disposed of in the correct designated areas. ·
Following instructions: Complete daily cleaning schedules and tasks assigned by supervisors or management. ·
Please note there will be times you are required to work on the recycling sorting line.
Skills and qualities required: ·
Good attention to detail. ·
Physically fit, as the job can involve standing, bending, lifting and working in demanding conditions. ·
Ability to operate industrial cleaning equipment. ·
Good understanding of health and safety. ·
Reliable, punctual and hardworking. ·
Ability to work independently and as part of a team. ·
Willingness to work outdoors or in dirty and noisy environments. ·
Good communication skills.
Hours: Monday – Friday: 07:00- 19:00 Pay rate: £13.00PH
