Job description
We are currently looking for an experienced Hod Carrier to join a busy new-build residential development in Henley-on-Thames (RG9).
The Role
- Rate: £20 per hour
- Hours: 07:30 – 16:30
- Paid Hours: 8.5 hours per day
- Duration: 3 months
- Location: Henley-on-Thames, RG9
- Work: Outside
- Parking: Available
- Site: Large new-build residential development (flats)
What You'll Be Doing
- Assisting bricklayers throughout the working day.
- Carrying and distributing bricks, blocks and materials.
- Mixing/knocking up mortar.
- Keeping bricklayers supplied with materials so they can work efficiently.
- Sweeping off scaffolding and keeping working areas clean and tidy.
- General labouring duties as required by the site team.
- Maintaining a safe and organised working environment.
About the Site
This is a fast-paced new-build residential site with a strong focus on health and safety. Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors and keeping up with the demands of a busy brickwork operation.
Requirements
- Valid CSCS card – essential
- Previous Hod Carrier / Bricklayer's Labourer experience preferred.
- Good physical fitness and reliability.
- Ability to follow site instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- 5-point PPE must be worn at all times.
- Site is smoke-free – smoking is only permitted off site during designated break times.
- £20/hour
- 8.5 hours paid every day
