At Aurora Beeches School, we believe in giving young people, ages 11-16, the tools and opportunities to create the lives they want for themselves. With high-quality teaching, an excellent level of individual support and a range of expert-led, integrated therapy, we support all our young people with a range of needs including Autism and other associated conditions. We can take advantage of our beautiful setting to inspire and create fun experiences to enhance learning and progress.

At Aurora Boveridge College, we prepare our students for adult life, through person-centred academic and vocational study programmes leading to independent living with employment or further study. By working together, we increase resilience, confidence, self-esteem, emotional intelligence, and well-being: the cornerstones on which strong and successful long-term futures are built.

We're looking for a professional and highly organised Administrator to support the smooth day-to-day running of the school & college and help create a welcoming experience for students, families, staff and visitors.

As our Administrator, you'll be a key part of the business support team, providing efficient administrative, reception and organisational support across a wide range of school & college functions.

You'll be the first point of contact for visitors and enquiries, while also supporting pupil administration, attendance monitoring, examinations administration and maintaining accurate records that help the school & college run effectively.

This role will involve working across two sites being Beeches School and Boveridge College, offering the opportunity to support learners and colleagues across both settings.

Your responsibilities will include:

•Providing a welcoming and professional reception service for visitors, parents, contractors and external stakeholders

• Managing telephone calls, emails and enquiries, ensuring requests are handled efficiently and professionally

• Supporting pupil administration, attendance monitoring and maintaining accurate records on the school's management information system

• Assisting with examinations administration, census returns and safeguarding records, including the Single Central Record

• Providing administrative and secretarial support to the Principal, Head of School, Head of Education, Business Manager and wider school team

• Coordinating diaries, managing incoming and outgoing correspondence and helping maintain effective communication across the school

• Managing purchase orders and the procurement of educational resources, alongside supporting staff recruitment and onboarding.

About You

We're looking for someone who is organised, approachable and enjoys working in a busy and varied environment.

• Experience working in an administrative role

• Evidence of finance and HR experience

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Good IT skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

• The ability to manage your workload and prioritise multiple tasks

• A professional, reliable and confidential approach

• Strong attention to detail and a willingness to support the wider team

• GCSE English and Maths or equivalent (preferred)

• Experience working in an administrative environment (preferred)

How to apply:

Please complete an online application form in full, remembering to include all employment and education details.

Successful applicants will be subject to pre-employment safeguarding checks including an enhanced disclosure and barring service (DBS) check.
