Warehouse Operative Nights

We are recruiting for a Warehouse Despatch Operator to join a major food manufacturing operation in the Pontypool area. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a market-leading business with an outstanding reputation, supplying products to some of the UK's best-known retailers.

This is a hands-on warehouse role where you'll play a key part in ensuring products are picked, packed and despatched accurately and on time. Working within a busy logistics operation, you'll help maintain stock accuracy, support customer deliveries and contribute to the smooth running of the warehouse.

Shift Details

* 4 on 4 off shift pattern

* 19:00 to 07:00

* £15.73 per hour

* Temp to perm opportunity

* Ongoing full-time work

Duties Include

* Picking, packing and preparing customer orders for despatch

* Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently

* Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck

* Using handheld scanners and warehouse management systems

* Ensuring stock is stored correctly and warehouse locations remain organised

* Assisting with stock counts and inventory checks

* Completing paperwork and records accurately

* Working to daily targets while maintaining high standards of quality and safety

* Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy and well organised

What We're Looking For

* Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence

* Previous warehouse, despatch, logistics or forklift experience is advantageous

* Good attention to detail and a focus on accuracy

* Comfortable using handheld scanners and warehouse systems

* Reliable, punctual and hardworking

* Able to work independently and as part of a team

* Good communication skills

* Positive attitude and strong work ethic

* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
