The Opportunity
The successful candidate will teach Design and Technology across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to teach KS5 where appropriate. You will deliver a combination of practical and theoretical lessons, helping students develop technical knowledge, design skills and confidence in solving problems independently.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging DT lessons that cater to a range of abilities.
Develop students' understanding of design principles, materials and practical techniques.
Encourage creativity, critical thinking and independent problem-solving.
Assess student work and provide constructive feedback to support progress.
Maintain a positive classroom environment and promote high standards of behaviour.
Ensure practical activities follow appropriate health and safety procedures.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum development and student achievement.
What We're Looking For
Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Has strong subject knowledge in Design and Technology.
Can deliver engaging lessons that balance practical activities with theory.
Demonstrates effective classroom management and communication skills.
Is committed to helping students develop their skills and achieve their potential.
