Job description

Assembly Technician | Verwood | £29,120+ per hour, 40 hour week

Building and balancing high-precision bearings used in high-tech industries around the world.
This is a multiskilled Assembly Technician role, so you’ll take products from full assembly through to final balancing rather than sticking to one task.
Work Monday to Friday, with an early finish on Friday.

As an Assembly Technician, you will benefit from:

  • 33 days holiday plus your birthday off
  • Early finish every Friday
  • A friendly, relaxed working culture
  • A multiskilled role covering assembly, balancing and testing
  • A growing business that invests in its people
  • Varied work on precision products used in high-tech industries

As an Assembly Technician, your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out the full assembly of high-precision bearings, spindles and shafts, making fine adjustments with hand tools
  • Dynamically testing finished assemblies to the required specifications
  • Working from standard operating procedures, technical drawings and process documents in line with production schedules
  • Moving between assembly, balancing and testing as production needs change
  • Raising any tooling, materials or process issues with your supervisor promptly
  • Contributing to quality, continuous improvement and new product introductions, always working safely

As an Assembly Technician, your experience will include:

  • Previous experience with bearings is strongly preferred
  • Alternatively, proven hands-on assembly experience in precision engineering or manufacturing
  • Experience with dynamic balancing or testing would be an advantage
  • Confidence using hand tools and carrying out precise, intricate work
  • Able to read technical drawings and follow detailed procedures
  • Basic computer skills for data entry

If you already know your way around precision assemblies and want a multiskilled Assembly Technician role where you can make an impact from day one, this is one to look at. Apply today with an up-to-date CV or call Beth at Rubicon for more information.
