Job Description

Care Assistant – Brighton

Pay: £13.77 per hour, plus paid mileage
Hours: Full-time, part-time, evening and weekend shifts available
Location: Brighton and surrounding areas
Employer: London Care, part of CCH Group

The practical help you give someone each day can make it possible for them to continue living in their own home. As a Care Assistant with London Care, you’ll support people across Brighton with their daily routines, personal care and independence.

It’s personal work. Alongside helping with meals or getting ready for the day, you’ll take time to listen, offer reassurance and get to know the people you support.

You don’t need previous care experience to apply. We provide full training and a paid induction, whether you’re starting your working life, changing careers or returning to work.

What you’ll do

You’ll visit people in their own homes and provide support based on their individual needs.

This includes:

  • Helping with personal care, while respecting each person’s dignity and preferences.
  • Supporting medication routines, mobility and mealtimes.
  • Encouraging people to do the things they can independently.
  • Offering companionship and reassurance.

Qualifications

Who we’re looking for

You’ll need to be reliable, considerate and comfortable supporting people with personal care. A willingness to learn matters, as does treating people with patience and respect.

Essential requirements:

  • A caring and respectful approach.
  • Reliability and commitment.
  • Willingness to complete training.

Previous care experience is welcome, but not essential.
