Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will take ownership of Health & Safety across a multi-site farming operation, ensuring compliance with legislation and promoting a positive, proactive safety culture. Working closely with operational managers and senior leadership teams, you will play a key role in driving improvements, engaging employees and ensuring the highest standards of workplace safety. Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement Health & Safety policies, procedures and standards across the operation.

Ensure compliance with UK Health & Safety legislation and relevant agricultural regulations.

Conduct risk assessments covering farming activities, livestock, machinery, contractors and lone working.

Lead accident and near-miss investigations, including RIDDOR reporting.

Promote a positive safety culture through employee engagement, training and safety briefings.

Manage audits, KPI reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.

Ensure compliance with LOLER, PUWER and relevant ISO 45001 requirements.

Support Occupational Health programmes and assist with Health & Safety budget management.

Work closely with operational teams to identify risks and drive safety improvements across multiple sites.

About You

This opportunity would particularly suit an experienced Health & Safety Advisor, Senior Advisor or Supervisor who is ready to take the next step into management. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate: NEBOSH or NVQ Level 3 (or higher) qualification in Occupational Health & Safety.

Ideally 3–5 years' Health & Safety experience.

A strong understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation and compliance requirements.

Experience conducting risk assessments, audits and accident investigations.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to influence people at all levels.

A proactive, hands-on approach with the enthusiasm to drive continuous improvement.

The ambition and leadership potential to take ownership of Health & Safety across multiple sites.

Flexibility to travel between sites as required.

Experience within agriculture or farming would be advantageous, although candidates from other manufacturing or operational environments with transferable skills are encouraged to apply. Interested?

If you're an experienced Health & Safety Advisor or Supervisor who's ready to swap your current title for Manager, this could be the career opportunity you've been waiting for! Equally, if you're an established Health & Safety Manager looking for a fresh challenge, we'd love to hear from you. This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful, well-established business offering genuine responsibility, career development and the chance to make a lasting impact.
