Based within the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital site at Wonford, the department performs a wide range of Nuclear Medicine examinations; around 3000 examinations per year, approximately 75% of which are for Oncology patients. The department is equipped with two gamma cameras, one of which is a hybrid SPECT/CT machine, and an in-house Radiopharmacy. We are at the early stages of planning to replace the second camera with another SPECT-CT system.

Successful applicants will take an active role in radiopharmaceutical manufacture and dispensing, patient imaging and data processing. Assisting with and administering radiopharmaceuticals also forms a significant part of the role.

Salary: £32,073 to £39,043 a year pro rata
Band: Band 5
Working pattern: Full-time (37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm)

Job responsibilities
For this Band 5 position, we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Radiographer or Technologist with an interest in Nuclear Medicine. Previous experience in Nuclear Medicine, SPECT-CT and/or PET would be an advantage but not essential, as full training and support will be provided. This will include training in Radiopharmacy, the administration of radiopharmaceuticals and Nuclear Medicine imaging procedures.

The successful applicant will be encouraged to develop their knowledge and skills through continuing professional development.

Good interpersonal and communication skills, together with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently within their level of competence, are essential requirements for this role.
