Senior Mechanical Engineer - Data Centre Project | Blyth, Northumberland

£75,000 - £90,000

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a leading data centre delivery team on a major new data centre project in Blyth, Northumberland. This is a key role overseeing mechanical installations on a mission-critical facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage mechanical installation works including HVAC, cooling and piping systems
• Oversee mechanical subcontractors for quality, safety and programme
• Review drawings, technical submittals and method statements
• Coordinate mechanical works with electrical, CSA and commissioning teams
• Support commissioning and handover of mechanical systems
• Mentor and support junior mechanical engineers
• Report progress and resolve technical issues on site

Skills & Qualifications

• Data centre experience essential
• Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
• Several years' experience as a mechanical engineer with a main or M&E contractor
• Strong knowledge of data centre cooling, HVAC and piping systems
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• Valid CSCS card or equivalent site safety training
