The Integrated Psychological Therapies Service (IPTS) at Hywel Dda University Health Board is seeking a High Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapist to join our psychological therapies team, based in Pembrokeshire. This is an exciting opportunity to provide evidence-based assessment, formulation and treatment to adults experiencing a range of moderate to severe mental health difficulties, including complex presentations.
Working within an MDT of psychological therapy professionals, you will deliver high-quality CBT, while contributing to the continued service development. We pride ourselves on creating a supportive and collaborative working environment, where staff wellbeing, professional development and clinical excellence are valued. You will receive regular specialist supervision and peer support, allowing you to further develop your clinical, supervisory and leadership skills.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Responsibilities include managing referrals, conducting comprehensive psychological assessments, formulating and delivering treatment plans, and undertaking risk assessments in line with service protocols and national standards.
The role requires autonomous responsibility for the assessment, treatment, review, and discharge of clients, including the delivery and evaluation of specialised CBT interventions. The post holder will work with highly sensitive and complex information, liaising with agencies and professionals to ensure safe and effective care.
Additional duties include providing clinical supervision, specialist consultation, and advice to colleagues and other services, attending multidisciplinary meetings, and contributing to clinical governance.
