Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8am-4:30pm, and Friday, 8am-1:30pm\n

\nCastle Employment Group is recruiting for a Planning Manager to join an established manufacturing business based in Pocklington.\n
\n
\nThis is a hands-on position where you'll play a key role in coordinating production schedules, managing priorities and ensuring manufacturing operations run efficiently.\n
\n
\nThe Role\n
\n
\nAs Planning Manager, you'll be responsible for:\n
\n

\n
• Developing and maintaining production schedules to meet customer demand.
\n
• Coordinating production requirements with stock and material availability.
\n
• Working closely with production, purchasing and other departments to ensure effective planning.
\n
• Monitoring production capacity and adjusting schedules where required.
\n
• Identifying potential delays and resolving planning challenges.
\n
• Supporting improvements to planning processes and operational efficiency.
\n
• Maintaining accurate planning information and communicating updates across the business.
\n

What We're Looking For\n

\n
• Previous experience in production planning within a manufacturing environment.
\n
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage changing priorities.
\n
• Confidence working with production schedules, stock levels and manufacturing requirements.
\n
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across departments.
\n
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.
\n
• Experience using planning systems or ERP software.
\n
• SAP experience would be advantageous but is not essential, as the business plans to introduce the system next year.
\n

You don't necessarily need to have held the title of Planning Manager before. We're equally interested in experienced Senior Production Planners who are ready to take that next step.\n
