The Opportunity Location: Dundrod, Nutts Corner Business Park Salary: £45,000-£55,000 per annum, depending on experience Contract: Permanent Hours: Monday to Friday, 7.30am-4.30pm What You'll Be Doing Take full ownership of daily transport operations, ensuring collections and deliveries run efficiently and on schedule. Plan and coordinate transport movements across Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Great Britain and Europe. Manage route planning, vehicle scheduling and driver allocation to maximise efficiency and profitability. Lead, motivate and develop drivers and operational staff, building a strong, accountable team. Build lasting customer relationships, maintaining excellent communication and resolving challenges effectively. Make confident operational decisions, taking responsibility for problem-solving and service delivery. Monitor transport costs, fleet utilisation and operational performance to identify opportunities for improvement. Ensure compliance with transport legislation, Operator Licence requirements, drivers' hours, tachographs and Working Time Regulations. Oversee fleet maintenance, servicing, inspections, vehicle checks and roadworthiness. Maintain accurate compliance records and ensure operational information is recorded and accessible. Introduce improvements to systems, processes and ways of working to support greater efficiency. Develop the team and operational resources to support increasing customer demand and business growth. What We're Looking For Minimum 3 years' experience in a Transport Management or Operations Management role within the transport and logistics industry. Strong knowledge of transport operations, fleet management and relevant legislation. A confident, hands-on leader who can earn respect, build relationships and get the best out of people. Someone who takes ownership, uses their initiative and is comfortable making independent decisions. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build customer relationships and resolve challenges constructively. Strong commercial awareness, with a focus on efficiency, cost control and profitability. A proactive problem-solver who remains calm and solutions-focused under pressure. An open-minded approach, with the confidence to challenge existing processes and introduce better ways of working. The ability to delegate effectively, develop others and build a team that can support future growth. Highly organised, adaptable and comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced transport environment.
