Job description
I’m partnering with a fast growing, well backed technology company in London, working at the frontier of AI. It’s a small, high caliber engineering team where speed and ownership really matter.
They’re hiring an Infrastructure Support Engineer to be the go to person who keeps their engineers moving. You’ll own infrastructure support end to end: picking up requests fast, fixing them properly, and automating the repeat ones away.
What you’ll do
- Own the infrastructure support queue, with fast first response and resolution in hours, not days
- Handle access, permissions, Linux host rebuilds, DNS, CI runners and repository admin, end to end
- Make changes through Terraform and Ansible, via pull requests
- Build self service tools and automations that remove blockers for engineering teams
- Write runbooks good enough that someone else can follow them alone
- Monitor capacity and licence expiry, and fix issues before anyone notices
What you’ll bring
- 5+ years of hands on Linux administration (Ubuntu or RHEL)
- AWS experience (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, Secrets Manager)
- Terraform and Ansible: comfortable reading and changing existing code
- GitHub administration, including organisations, permissions and Actions runners
- Experience working to response and resolution targets
- A bias for speed and ownership. You’d rather fix the root cause than close the ticket.
Nice to have
- Licence server administration
The details
- Location: central London, hybrid (roughly 2 to 3 days onsite)
- Start: ASAP, with a quick process
- Eligibility: you must have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship, and the role is subject to background and export control checks.
We encourage you to apply even if you think you may not currently fit all these requirements – so long as you have proven academics and are willing to work hard and learn, we want to hear from you.
