Commercial Manager

Orion Group is supporting a national construction client in hiring a Commercial Manager who will be responsible for financial and contractual control of social housing building projects by means of being fully reimbursed for works executed, at the appropriate stages of time. Identify, mitigate, manage, and report on risks that may affect the business. As the commercial Manager you will provide leadership and direction to the commercial teams to deliver the projects’ budgets through the economic use of the Company’s resources i.e. management, labour, plant and materials to ensure maximum return from all construction operations. To work in conjunction with the Regional Managing Director, Operations Director and Commercial Director in terms of issues that affects the operational effectiveness of the business. Duties Include: Support the company in achieving its budget and business plan through preparation, delivery, and commercial management of projects Ensure the company complies with all the requirements of the Construction Commercial and Financial procedures as produced by Group and Construction Executive Ensure reporting as required by the Construction Commercial and Financial procedures is carried out timeously and accurately Ensure that all projects being entered into have been vetted from a commercial and contractual perspective, and as such the risks associated with each form of contract have been recognised and un...
