An award-winning and forward-thinking building services consultancy is looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (Building Services) to join its growing Edinburgh team, located in their modern city centre office. The Role
- Lead mechanical building services design across a range of projects.
- Develop HVAC, heating, cooling, ventilation and domestic water systems.
- Take designs from concept through to detailed design and construction.
- Produce and review calculations, specifications, drawings and reports.
- Coordinate designs with other disciplines and project stakeholders.
- Attend client and design team meetings and provide technical input.
- Support and mentor junior engineers.
- Contribute to sustainable and low-carbon engineering solutions.
Experience & Qualifications
- Degree/HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC and mechanical systems.
- Good understanding of UK standards, regulations and industry guidance.
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit MEP.
- Strong communication and client-facing skills.
