Key Responsibilities:

As a Generator Engineer / Generator Fitter, you'll keep generators operating safely and reliably:

• Carry out generator servicing, planned maintenance and repairs in the workshop and at customer sites.

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults involving engines, alternators and control panels.

• Read electrical schematics to support accurate fault diagnosis.

• Inspect generator units, troubleshoot technical issues and complete necessary repairs.

• Maintain accurate service records and complete reports promptly.

• Deliver professional customer service and build positive working relationships.

• Follow health and safety procedures and relevant industry standards.

What we're looking for:

To succeed as a Generator Engineer / Generator Fitter, you'll need:

• At least five years' experience in generator servicing and repair.

• A strong mechanical background and practical electrical fault-finding knowledge.

• Familiarity with engines, alternators, control panels and electrical schematics.

• The ability to work independently, solve problems and contribute to a team.

• A full UK driving licence.

• Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.

• Strong communication skills and flexibility to work across different sites and environments.
