Family Time Worker

Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Family Time Worker to join Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council on an initial 3-month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday (inc some Saturdays) Key Responsibilities * Ensure Family Time is promoted and delivered in line with the care plan for the child/young person and their family and in a manner that ensure the child’s ongoing safety and that their welfare is paramount. * Responsible for undertaking the supervision of Family Time including compiling of observations, undertaking assessments and reports around Family Time in line with the Family Time plan. * Responsible for emotional and practical support to children, parents, and their families during Family Time * Transport children, or on occasion adults, to and from Family Time venues when necessary, ensuring appropriate seat belts are used and that risk assessments have been completed. * Work closely with the child/children’s Social Worker and other relevant professionals to ensure effective communication of information and enable children/parents to be as fully involved as possible in the planning and review of Family Time arrangements. * Contribute to the development of written plans under the direction of a qualified social worker or manager.
