Commercial Gas Service Engineer

Originally, the business predominantly operated as a refrigeration contractor; the business has grown into offering multiple disciplines including air conditioning, ventilation, heating, plumbing and renewables. We provide full service, maintenance, repair, design and installation services for this entire scope to ensure our clients can rely on us for turn key solutions within the industry, including 24 / 7 365 availability for critical breakdowns.

The Role….*_

As a Commercial Gas Service Engineer you will be responsible for delivering high-quality services to our commercial customers whilst minimizing disruption where possible. You will be installing, servicing and maintaining a wide variety of commercial boilers and main source supply equipment, whilst maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction through first time fix. You will take a proactive approach to health and safety, creating a safe environment for all.

• Salary : *Up to £20 per hour - Dependent on experience

What will you do….*_

• Diagnose faults and failures across commercial gas equipment and systems, providing effective technical solutions with a strong focus on achieving a first-time fix. * Install, repair and maintain commercial gas systems and associated equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidance, industry standards and company procedures. * Complete routine planned preventative maintenance visits, ensuring equipment is operating safely, efficiently and reliably. * Support the Service team with technical information, parts identification and information required to prepare remedial quotations. * Complete all service reports, job sheets, compliance documentation and supporting paperwork accurately and within required timescales. * Ensure all works are completed to a high standard, are technically correct and comply with Airco, client, manufacturer and regulatory requirements. * Liaise professionally with customers and site contacts, maintaining strong working relationships and providing excellent customer service. * Work safely at all times, following Airco health and safety procedures, risk assessments, method statements and any client-specific site requirements. * Manage workload effectively and maintain expected levels of productivity while ensuring quality and safety standards are not compromised. * Identify additional remedial works, improvements or potential business opportunities while on site and communicate these appropriately to the Service team. * Represent Airco professionally at all times and maintain high standards of workmanship, appearance and customer service. * Participate in the Company’s on-call rota, currently operating on a 1-in-6 basis within the Heating team, supporting Airco’s 24 / 7 / 365 reactive service.

Who are we looking for…..*_

• An experienced and confident commercial gas engineer, you will have the necessary Commercial ACS Gas Qualifications COCN1,CDGA1,CIGA1,CCP1,ICPN1,TPCP1. * Ideally you will have a minimum of 5 years experience working with commercial gas * Qualified to NVQ Level 3 Pluming & Heating * An eye for detail and a desire to work to a very high standard * Flexibility * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, previous experience liaising with commercial stakeholders * The ability to work independently and use your own initiative * Full driving licence * IT competent * Be able to pass a DBS check
