"The hospital saved my baby's life. Tiny Lives saved my family."
Alongside the expert medical care provided by neonatal teams, Tiny Lives exists to ensure families feel supported, informed and less alone throughout their journey. They're looking for a passionate and ambitious Community & Events Fundraiser to join the team and help grow the income and relationships that make this life-changing work possible.

Salary: £30,000 - £33,000 per annum
Location: Hybrid and flexible working from Newcastle HQ
Benefits: 25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays, enhanced family-friendly policies, enhanced occupational sick pay, employer pension contribution of up to 6%

About the charity
Since 1983, Tiny Lives has been supporting premature and sick newborn babies and their families across the Northeast. They provide both practical and emotional support for families while also investing in neonatal services through training, equipment and resources that enhance patient care.
Every year, the charity supports more than 800 babies and their families through the Newcastle Neonatal Service alone. In this role, you'll see firsthand the difference that fundraising makes, helping parents feel supported, helping neonatal staff access specialist training and helping babies get the very best start in life.
About the role
As Community & Events Fundraiser, you'll be responsible for developing and growing community fundraising income while delivering engaging events that inspire supporters and deepen their connection with Tiny Lives.
You'll build relationships with individuals, schools, community groups and local organisations, supporting them to achieve their fundraising ambitions while ensuring every supporter feels valued and connected to the charity's mission.
You'll also play a key role in some of Tiny Lives' flagship events, helping to deliver exceptional supporter experiences and maximise fundraising opportunities. From stewarding Great North Run participants to supporting gala events and family-focused celebrations, you'll be at the heart of bringing the Tiny Lives community together.
About you
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who loves building relationships, creating memorable experiences and inspiring people to support a cause that has a direct and lasting impact on families across the region.
You may already have fundraising experience, or you could be working in events, account management, community engagement, customer relations, partnerships or another people-focused environment.
What matters most is that you can demonstrate:
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
- Experience coordinating events, projects or engagement activities
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities
- A proactive and creative approach to achieving targets
- Confidence working with a wide range of stakeholders
- A genuine passion for delivering excellent supporter experiences
- A full driving licence and access to a vehicle
Most importantly, you'll be excited to join a charity that has become a vital source of support for families during some of their most difficult moments.
