Class 1 / Class 2 Night Shunter Drivers – Leeds – Up to £17.50 Per Hour Immediate Starts | Monday to Friday Nights | Ongoing Work | Site-Based Roles Recruit A Driver is recruiting Class 1 and Class 2 Shunter Drivers for an established client based in Leeds. We're offering two opportunities within the same overnight depot operation: * Class 1 Night Shunter – £17.50 per hour * Class 2 Night Shunter – £16.50 per hour Both positions involve moving vehicles safely around the client's site to support overnight loading and unloading operations. If you're an experienced HGV driver looking for ongoing night work without the demands of regular road deliveries, we'd like to hear from you. About the Role These are site-based shunting positions, helping keep the depot running smoothly throughout the night. Your duties will include: * Moving HGVs safely around the depot * Positioning vehicles at designated loading bays and parking areas * Preparing vehicles for loading and unloading operations * Supporting the smooth running of the overnight operation * Carrying out vehicle checks and reporting defects * Following site safety procedures and instructions Shift Details Class 1 Night Shunter * Pay: £17.50 per hour * Start time: 22:00 * Shift length: Approximately 8 hours * Working days: Monday to Friday * Location: Leeds Class 2 Night Shunter * Pay: £16.50 per hour * Start time: 18:00 * Working days: Monday to Friday * Location: Leeds Both roles offer ongoing work, with immediate starts available. Requirements For the Class 1 position: * Full UK Class 1 (C+E) driving licence held for at least 12 months * Recent Class 1 driving experience within the last 6 months * Valid Driver CPC qualification card * Valid digital tachograph card * Maximum 6 penalty points, minor offences only * Reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach For the Class 2 position: * Full UK Class 2 (Category C) driving licence * Valid Driver CPC qualification card * Valid digital tachograph card * Suitable recent HGV driving experience * Reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach Please confirm the applicable licence and insurance requirements when enquiring about the Class 2 position.
