SailPoint IdentityNow Engineer, Contract

About the role

We are seeking an experienced SailPoint IdentityNow (now Identity Security Cloud) Developer to join a client engagement on a contract basis. You will design, build, test and release connectors that integrate target applications with SailPoint, and take them through to production. You’ll work with our consultants, the client’s IAM team and application owners.

Responsibilities

• Develop custom SailPoint IdentityNow connectors (SaaS Connectivity / Connector SDK, Web Services, JDBC, Delimited File, SCIM, and others as required)
• Configure and customise sources, account schemas, aggregation, correlation and account/entitlement mappings
• Build and maintain transforms, provisioning policies, and cloud/connector rules
• Develop and run unit, integration and end-to-end tests of connectors, including aggregation, provisioning and password management scenarios
• Support UAT, resolve defects and document test evidence
• Release and promote connectors and configuration into production in line with change management, using the SailPoint CLI and SP-Config
• Deploy and troubleshoot connectors running through the Virtual Appliance (VA) / VA clusters
• Produce technical documentation, runbooks and handover materials
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide post-go-live support
• Work with application owners and security teams to gather integration requirements

Required skills and experience

• Proven hands-on experience developing SailPoint IdentityNow / ISC connectors end to end: build, test and production release
• Strong experience with the SailPoint Connector SDK and/or SaaS Connectivity (TypeScript/Node.js), or equivalent custom connector development
• Strong knowledge of SailPoint IDN architecture: sources, identity profiles, lifecycle states, access profiles, roles, certifications and workflows
• Good understanding of REST APIs, JSON, SCIM, LDAP and authentication methods (OAuth 2.0, API keys, basic auth)
• Experience with the ISC REST APIs and tools such as Postman and the SailPoint CLI
• Experience with SQL / JDBC integrations
• Solid IAM / IGA knowledge (joiner-mover-leaver, RBAC, provisioning, access reviews)
• Experience with version control (Git) and structured promotion between non-production and production tenants
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• SailPoint certification(s) (e.g. IdentityNow Engineer / Architect)
• Experience with BeanShell and Java-based rules, or IdentityIQ
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for connector deployment
• Experience integrating cloud platforms (Azure AD / Entra ID, AWS, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Workday)
